Pasini PressTM is a publisher and seller of original writing. Many good writers are unable to get their books in print because their writing is regarded as 'not commercially viable'. Pasini Press aims to fill this publishing gap and give voice to the original stories and ideas that exist beneath an oppressive layer of commercial publishing decision making. Stories and ideas shape the world we live in and Pasini Press aims to publish the original writing necessary for culture to flourish.
Writers must have their work published. It is often said that if you are not writing for publication there is no point in writing. William Burroughs once remarked in an interview that if he didn't have his first novel published he wouldn't have kept writing. Throughout history writers with a belief in themselves have sought to publish their initial writing. Walt Whitman is a classic example who self published Leaves of Grass in 1855.
When a writer knows their work will be published it changes their whole approach and indeed raises the standard of their writing. A publication to your name will enhance your reputation and give you the confidence to approach your next subject.
Pasini Press will publish your writing on any subject from fiction to autobiography to politics to spirituality to gardening. Even a long held thesis finally articulated. We also publish poetry and short stories. We can design an illustrated Children's book or a Coffee Table book from the photos/illustrations you provide. We want to give voice to your ideas and inspiration.
We do point out we are interested in original writing. Our goal is give voice to real stories and ideas whether fiction of fact.
At Pasini Press we encourage authors to find their voice. We like writers to relax into the role and 'write it as they see it' without fear or favour. Whether you write fiction or aim to honestly recount a significant event in your life or to inform others of well thought out ideas or you just want to share great ways of doing things we will support you. At Pasini Press you will even have the freedom to dig deep and expose the double standards of hypocrisy in a scathing work inspired by the sweet justice of revenge. We want writers to loosen up and let it flow. Yet, we always maintain standards of respect and decency so we will not publish anything that encourages bigotry towards any group of people.

Our aim is to publish writers and it depends on the author for which publishing arrangement we choose. If it is open to question whether there will be demand for the book then we charge a publishing fee to mainly cover costs. We feel it is only fair this way otherwise we could be paying to print a book that isn't going to generate a return. This way a writer can be published without having to be a best seller. If on the other hand there will be demand for the book then a fee would not be necessary or we can negotiate to share the cost of the initial print run. We feel we have a business model that works and gets more writers published. We pay authors a 50% Net Royalty on all books sold which is the highest percentage in the industry. As a business we do need to make a profit to remain as a going concern but not at the expense to the writer by charging exorbitant fees.
We want to stay open to publishing possibilities so feel free to discuss your book with us and maybe we can come to a mutually satisfactory agreement.
Our three main publishing options for books:
1. Standard Package
- We will professionally publish your book with an International Standard Book Number (ISBN) and a Barcode for sale in bookstores.
- Your book will have a quality finish that looks good on the bookshelves and sits well in the hand.
- Your book will be A5 size.
- We will pay you a 50% net royalty on all books sold.
- You will have your own webpage on our website.
- Secure ecommerce sales through our website.
- We will obtain a National Library of Australia Cataloguing-in-Publication (CiP) entry for your book.
- We will design your bookcover from the photo/artwork you submit.
- We will format your book for publication.
- We will provide you with 20 copies of the published book.
- We will distribute your book via our catalogue to major and independant bookstores.
- We will restock your book in bookstores according to demand.
- We will enter you book in the comprehensive bibliographic data base Global books in Print.
- Copies of your book will be lodged for legal deposit with the National Library of Australia and the State Library of Victoria.
- Total cost to the Author is AUD$1095
2. Promotion Package
- 150 copies of your book delivered to you.
- 10 full colour A4 Posters of your book cover for promotion.
- We will professionally publish your book with an International Standard Book Number (ISBN) and a Barcode for sale in bookstores.
- Your book will have a quality finish that looks good on the bookshelves and sits well in the hand.
- Your book will be A5 size.
- We will pay you a 50% net royalty on all books sold through us.
- You will have your own webpage on our website.
